 Collision between WCCC A and Penrith B... We were blessed with fantastic weather for this year's event, which saw a range of paddlers from Carlisle, Copeland, Penrith and West Cumbria clubs battling it out again. Big thank-you to all the volunteers who make this event possible, and of course to Sue & Dave at Derwent Water Marina and their staff Rob & Lisa who man the safety boats and prepare the boats and equipment. Penrith were determined to retain the trophy and bringing 22 paddlers they certainly were the favorites. But things didn't go their way in the first race with Penrith A beaten convincingly by the WCCC A team - but they made up for it in the next race with a winning pace to set up a final between the two Penrith teams.
